Our family moved to the South County in 2009. It was immediate that we saw horses being walked down our street on Jeanie Lane more often than we saw dogs! Living out in the country felt like a dream come true and living in the country meant that the kids had to take riding lessons. Blue Banner Stables, which was formerly known as California Stables was a quick walk down our street. It was there that we met with a trainer, watched our children learn to ride, bathe a horse for the first time, groom a horse for the first time and began something we never thought would bring us to where we are today. Our family fell in love with the two horses the children were taking lessons on; and it just so happened that they needed a new home. So we brought two perfect horses for our family to take care of, ride and spoil, Blue and Banner. Blue was an older horse that every person adored. Sadly, we only got a few years with him but those few years taught us just how much you could love a horse. Both horses hold a piece of our hearts forever. We also now currently live on site. What a dream come true!

The Namesakes

Blue

Blue

Just two years after bidding farewell to our cherished family horse, Blue, we were stunned to discover that California Stables, our beloved equestrian haven, was up for sale. Determined to preserve this special place for both our family and the community, we decided to take a bold step and acquire it. The question arose: should we maintain its current name or opt for a new one? It wasn't long before inspiration struck, and the perfect name revealed itself – Blue Banner Stables. In homage to the incredible journey initiated by Blue and Banner, we couldn't be more delighted to name the ranch after these beloved horses.

Banner

Banner

Meet Banner, a charming white Arabian with a heart as pure as his coat. Loved dearly by his little girl, Kalysta, Banner would always prance around proud, carrying dreams and giggles on his back. Together, they shared a magical bond, where whispers of secrets were exchanged in soft nickers. Banner, the enchanting steed, brought so much joy to Kalysta's world and many other children as a lesson horse. Sadly, we said good bye to our dear family member a few years ago. He happily lived out his last years at the stable named after him. :)
